FRIGOSCANDIA SELECTS CONSAFE LOGISTICS TO BOOST WAREHOUSE EFFICIENCY 

Frigoscandia, a full-service provider of temperature-controlled food logistics in the Nordic region, has chosen Consafe Logistics as its warehouse management system (WMS) vendor. This partnership marks a significant milestone as Frigoscandia embraces a new era of warehouse management, emphasizing scalability, improved efficiency, and providing real-time tracking data for its customers. 

The 3PL vendor has 12 facilities in Sweden and 3 in Norway, including Götene Kyltransporter (3 facilities). To stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving e-commerce sector, particularly in B2B, the company implemented a strategic modernization of its warehouse management system.

“Our industry operates on fine margins, where efficient operation is key. This goes for picking and packing but also for how we use the available space in the warehouse. Just as we focus on maintaining optimal temperatures and transport quality to minimize food waste, we wanted to achieve better operational efficiency throughout our warehouses,” explains Tobias Dahlskog, leading the modernization project. “Recognizing the necessity for scalability and optimization, we sought a best-of-breed WMS solution to streamline our warehouse processes.”  

 

Frigoscandia initiated an extensive tender process, ultimately selecting Consafe Logistics’ warehouse management system, Astro WMS®. The decision was influenced by various factors, including Consafe Logistics’ size and reliability, assuring timely delivery despite concurrent projects. Moreover, seamless communication through a dedicated contact person was pivotal in reinforcing Frigoscandia’s confidence in this partnership.   

Looking ahead, Frigoscandia expects the new WMS to act as a catalyst for organic growth and to facilitate the onboarding of new customers.

The multi-site implementation of the new warehouse management system started in Q1 2024, with the first go-live scheduled for H2 2024.
